Turnbuckles

A turnbuckle serves as a mechanism for adjusting the tension or length of a rope, cable, or similar tether.

Typically, it comprises two threaded eye bolts, each attached to a small metal frame, with one featuring a left-hand thread and the other a right-hand thread. Tension adjustment is achieved by rotating the frame, causing both bolts to move simultaneously, either inwards or outwards.

Turnbuckles are versatile tools applicable in various settings such as campgrounds, aircraft, and ships. They are even utilized on the ropes within wrestling and boxing arenas!
