Cable Clamp

This is also referred to as Wire Rope Clips. Wire rope clips are effective for creating a load-bearing eye at the end of your wire when paired with wire rope thimbles.

While not suitable for overhead lifting situations, these heavy-duty wire rope clips are designed for sustaining overhead loads, such as guy lines, support lines, scaffolding, etc.

Installation Guide for Wire Rope clips

  1. Begin by wrapping the wire rope around the thimble to form the eye, then loop the remainder of the rope back.
  2. Install the first clip on the dead end side of the rope. Ensure that the “U” side of the clip covers the dead end of the rope, with the “saddle” side on the live end. Use a torque wrench to tighten the nuts securely.
  3. Proceed to apply the second clip, positioning it as close to the eye loop as possible. Follow the same procedure for tightening the nuts.
  4. Add additional clips to the rope if necessary, spacing them evenly between the end clips. Finally, tighten the end clips and apply tension to achieve the recommended torque for the wire rope.
